Air Astana and Airbus Partnership Enables Non-Stop Flights on Almaty-London Route

Air Astana, in partnership with Airbus, is installing additional fuel tanks on Airbus A321LR to perform non-stop flights on long-haul distances without the need for technical layovers.

Air Astana is set to resume non-stop flights on the Almaty-London route from October 4, thanks to a partnership with Airbus. Previously, these flights required a technical layover in Aktau since March 2022.

With the introduction of additional fuel tanks on the Airbus A321LR aircraft, the route will become completely non-stop. This modification will reduce the flight duration by 1 hour and 30 minutes, bringing it down to 9 hours and 35 minutes.
